Biography
Mel completed a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering at the University of Adelaide in 2020. Mel followed this with an Honours project focused on the removal of Chromatic Copper Arsenate (CCA) compounds in treated timber using Hydrothermal Carbonisation. Mel has a strong background in extracting and analysing natural compounds. In 2021, she continued into a PhD, “Optimising Plant Growth in Space”, to pursue her dream of space research. In her pastime, she likes learning languages, singing and communicating with people.
